PLAYER INFORMATION

How long (approximately) have you been playing World of Warcraft?
I began playing WoW a few months after its first release and have been playing it off and on since, more on than off.

How confident would you say you are with the English language?
I am very confident with my written language skills however I tendency to tap away on the keyboard far too fast and end up with a bunch of mistakes, im working on it...honestly!

What experience do you have with roleplaying in the past?
After my first few days of playing I realised I had rolled a RP server. A very patient girl took the time to explain to me what it was all about and since then I have been hooked.

What experience do you have within the World of Warcraft?
I've tried my hand at all aspects of WoW, PVEing, RPing, PVPing but with a big exception of raiding, I have tried the odd one or two but I never seem to catch the bug for it, doing raids over and over tends to make me feel like im bashing my face against the wall.

If you were to join the guild, what would you bring to the strong OOC community the guild shares?
I like to think im an approachable person that enjoys telling and listening to silly stories that all guilds tend to have.
I have been playing since vanila WoW I've got a pretty solid handle over WoW and will gladly offer any advice if its asked for.

If you were to join the guild, how often would you be able to play?
Currently im on holiday untill September (Woo go student holidays!), so I can be online most days, I wont be able to tell you how often I can play untill I get back to college and figure out my timetable and workload.

If you were to join the guild what would be your priority when online?
Right now im leveling Tatts like mad, I want to make her my new main and just want to hit 85 so I can slow down and take it easy, however if theres RP availible i'll jump for it.

Why do you wish to join the guild?
There are several reasons for this:
I've been on the Sha'tar for a while now, I had a long run with the Red Jackal Brigade guild but due to some difficulties at home I wasn't able to play for a long time and unfortuantly I've just grown distant.
Usually that wouldnt be a problem but the characters I want to play right now dont really fit the RJB's profile so I decided to head out and look for someplace new.

This is where The Spine comes in, since I want Tatts to be my new main I feel that being a forsaken and the personal goals of her character she will fit in much better here.

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Tatts
Gender: Female

Title (if applicable): Deathstalker
Current Occupation: Worgen Hunter

Age: 26 (Im a little uncertain about undead age since she was risen shortly after the Forsaken attacked Gilneas)
Race: Undead Human

Level:60

In-game Class & Spec': Warrior Prot/Fury
IC Class: Warrior

Hair Colour: Purple
Eye Colour: None
Height: 5"4

Of the three Forsaken factions the guild represents: The Royal Apothecary Society, The Deathguard and The Deathstalkers. Which do you feel your character would fit in with best and why?
Tatts would idealy be a Deathstalker since she has been operating alone and hunting Worgen when the Forsaken forced them out of their home.
She is a highly skilled fighter and has specialised in finding ways to fend off Worgen, for example she has learnt a trick of using a herb to confuse the Worgens sense of smell.

How does your character feel about the place of the Forsaken in the Horde? And how does he/she react to other races within the Horde?
Tatts believes that all Forsaken have been given a second chance, this belief makes her think that the Forsaken are well within their rights to use any means necessary to survive and should another race disagree she will argue untill she goes blue in the face, she is not directly hostile but she is cautious of the living.

How does your character feel about the Wrathgate incident?
The Wrathgate happened before she was a Forsaken, she has of course heard of it however she believes that the other Horde races greatly exaggerate how bad it was.
After all, how could a weapon the Forsaken made to use against their enemies be looked down on with such disgust?

How does your character feel about the current state of the Horde?
With the recent victory over the Worgen and change of power from Thrall to Garrosh Tatts feels that the Horde are in their strongest position as of yet. Perhaps Garrosh is a fool in dismissing the power of the Val'kyr or the blight but at least he is an Orc of action.
Anything outside the borders of Lorderon holds little interest to Tatts, as long as the Forsaken are progressing she could care less of the others.

Character History:
The howls were coming from everywhere, the city in absolute chaos as the feral Worgen tore everything apart.
A small rag tag group of survivors hurried their way through well known alleys, avoiding the main roads where most of the Worgen were.
Their small party consisting of a mix of soldiers and civilians, one of those soldiers being Tasha Mills.
A good soldier determined to carry out her duty despite the odds, she had been ordered to save as many civilians as she could and that was just what she was going to do.
So they were running, desperately trying to find a way to the remaining forces within the city that had fallen to its knee's.

Stopping in a small courtyard they stopped to catch their breath, Tasha searched through the weary frightend faces, searching for one in particular. Her life long friend Kasan, they had played together as children.
Letting out a sigh of relief she saw her, she had kept up with the group and was doing her best to comfort a young child. Despite all of the terror around Tasha could not help but feel pride in her friend, no matter what she was one to always count on.
They met eyes and nodded to each other, they would get through this together.

Howls rang out again, this time they were close. Everyone that was armed drew their weapon and looked around frantically, the trained soldiers quickly covered each entrance to the courtyard and they waited in silent terror, were they found?
Moments passed which seemed to last an eternity, none dared to breath.
Taking point Tasha moved cautiously, keeping her sheild close she edged to the dark passage they had just come from.
The gloom and silence pressed in around her, she tread carefully and as silently as she could, taking a soft sigh she turned and signaled to the other soldiers it was clear.
That was when she heard it, a deep gutteral growl that chilled her to the bone. She was on the ground before she knew it, it was hard to understand what had happened.
Her vision faded in and out of darkness, all she knew was screams and the sound of battle, she tried to look around only to catches glimpses, claws, the flash of a Gilnean tabard, the face of a friend in anguish before her vision completely went, there was nothing but darkness.

From the nothingness came a creeping cold, it seeped into her body and flowed through her bones, she was then awake. It was as if she had woken abruptly from a bad dream, she tried blinking her eyes but found she couldn't, a curious feeling, she reached up to touch her face, a twisted decayed hand invaded her vision, this couldnt be right.
Trying to rub her eyes she found there was no feeling, she poked testingly, a finger only found empty space.
She screamed.

Several months later.

Tatts sat at ease amongst the ruins of Pyrewood Village, her rifle sat propped up on the window and she watched.
She had been watching for days, she knew her prey was there, just the otherside of town doing exactly the same.
Fortuantly for her she had the advantage not needing sleep, to eat or to drink, the time was coming close, she could feel it.
A rustling caused her to lean forward, taking a firm grip on her rifle, the dark magic that brought her back had given her unique vision, with no eyes she could see perfectly, whether it was raining, night or snow, she could spot almost anything if she was looking for it.

The flash of black fur, she pulled the trigger. A yelp rang out across the square, quickly snatching her rifle up and running out into the town square she followed the trail of blood to the treeline. Her prey had eluded her.
Kasan had escaped, she had come so close to ending her friends curse and failed, taking a deep breath she reloaded her rifle and moved into the brush, the tracking had begun.

What skill set could your character bring to the guild?
Tatts is first and foremost a Worgen hunter, she has learned how they fight, how they track and most importantly how to kill them.
She uses various methods from simple battle tactics to set traps to being able to mimic different howls to confuse and misdirect packs.

How does your character respond to authority?
Being a soldier through and through in life has not changed since she has died, however her hatred for Worgen could lead her to make decisions of her own should someone in charge say different to her.

TEST OF ABILITY
Please write a short response (300 - 600 words) discussing one of the statements below, research is allowed but copying is not, you are encouraged to add your own thoughts and theories to the answer.

This test is designed to evaluate your use of the English language, your commitment to joining and your ability to present a reasoned and clear argument; it is NOT a test of raw knowledge.

i) The Forsaken are evil. There are no good Forsaken.
There is no good or evil, there is only survival. The way I see the forsaken is a race that is dying out and their first instinct is to survive, since they cannot reproduce by normal means they need to use different methods.

ii) The Forgotten Shadow is an entirely selfish belief system.
The forgotten shadow is a way to justify the greater good through personal gain.

iii) Relations between the Horde and the Forsaken are improving.
Since the creation of the Blight and the use of Val'kyr many races do not agree with what the forsaken are doing, now with Garrosh in charge who looks down on the forsakens way could lead to his supporters doing the same.

iv) The Royal Apothecary Society is the most powerful of the Forsaken organisations.
It is one of the arms of the forsaken, through their research the Royal Apothecary Society have made great leaps in plague research, however without the deathguards or deathstalkers they would have no one on the front lines keeping their research safe.

v) Grand Apothecary Putress should be considered a traitor to the cause.
Putress went one step further then what Sylvanas was willing, Putress believed that the Forsaken deserved to be the only one true power in Azeroth.
A traitor to some, a visionary to others.

vi) With the Lich King dead, the Forsaken lack a purpose.
The forsaken need to survive, that is their purpose. With the other races almost shunning the Forsaken they need to prove that they can be trusted and are worth living their undead lives.

Apart from the fact, that you just gave your opinion on all of the essay topics (instead of one bit deeper Razz), I see no problem at all. Just surprised about warrior going into Deathstalkers, tehe.

Anyhoo, my yes is at hand, but as usually, I will wait for another officer to reply. If he gives his nod too, feel free to whisper Manners, Isaelle, Anthraxius, Geriand or Viatrix for IC interview and invite.
