*The front cover depicts a mangy, fleabitten and feral looking worgen*
Being stationed in Silverpine Forest it is More than likely you will clash with Worgen packs. They come with the Alliance at their backs, seeking to remove our presence from the lands of Lordaeron. Look at the glorious ranks of the Deathguard to which you belong and know for certain that they will fail.
If they what kind of ordered fighting force they were facing they would surely turn tail back into Gilneas and rebuild that stupid wall behind them. But Worgen are stupid creatures with no sense of self preservation. Worgen are numerous but weak. What do you do when a parasite bites your flesh and sucks your blood? You swat it dead! This is what the Deathguard is mobilising to do to the Worgen intrusions into Silverpine.
The mind of a Worgen is hard to understand, nor would we wish to as such thoughts are pointless. It is beleive Worgen packs are controlled by a leader known as an Alpha. And here lies their greatest weakness. Destruction of the Alpha leads to the destruction of the entire pack.
How unlike the well ordered mind of the Forsaken soldier that functions autonomously (within the command structure)! How can such base creatures stand before us when they can barely even think for themselves. This is a weakness we can use to our advantage.
There is one rule to apply when fighting the Worgen, Kill the big ones. It has been proven by the men and women of the Royal Apothecary Society that the Worgen are sent into paroxysms of confusion if the larger, controlling alphas are obliterated.
Remember - Kill the Big Ones
When they come up against the massed ranks of the Forsaken with our Deathguard, Deathstalkers and our indomitable will, their savagery will be matched and served up to them with steel death from our blades.
The Worgens strength, such as it is, is in close combat fighting, but even in this case a tempered blade thrust firmly between their ribs will incapacitate your attacker and force its brethren to back off. To avoid getting your gear covered in their disgusting blood it is better to dispatch them from a distance, indeed mass fire from a group of Dark Rangers or any Forsaken equipped with a suitable ranged weapon will confound and confuse a Worgen pack, allowing you to pick them off at will.
The perverse nature of the Worgen can have a disturbing effect on those who haven't seen them before. This is understandable and to recoil from these beats is a valid response. It compounds the idea that these creatures deserve to be completely annihilated. Your very soul will sicken at the sight of them, let your soul be your guide.
Use the disgust that will well inside you like a fountain, and turn that disgust into hatred, Hatred for the abominable form of the Worgen, Hatred for Gilneas, who left us to fend for ourselves against the Scourge while they hid behind their wall. Teach them that they will not advance further into the realms of the Dark Lady. Teach them with a blast of magic and the thrust of your blades. Remember always that the Worgen should be regarded as nothing more then vermin, to be eradicated from Azeroth.
Thought for the Day: While our enemies hearts still beat, there can be no respite.
