Deathguard - Rules and Regulations

These laws are to be followed to the absolute letter. Ignorance or lack of understanding is not an excuse for deviance. The Executors shall judge all who stray.

Disrespect towards an officer

Any Deathguard who shows disrespect – in word or in action – towards an Instructor, an Executor, the High Delegate herself or anyone of higher rank will be flogged and flayed.

Failure to salute an officer

Any Deathguard who fails to salute a passing officer or anyone of higher rank will be flogged.

Striking an officer

Any Deathguard who, on any pretence whatsoever, strikes a superior officer, or offers any violence against him, will suffer punishment as deemed appropriate by the High Executor. (This will usually result in a summary execution.)

Gambling

Any Deathguard caught gambling in any form on duty will be flogged and incarcerated for an unspecified time.

Failure to carry out an order

Any Deathguard found to have failed to carry out a direct order will be flogged, flayed and incarcerated for an unspecified time, unless exceptional circumstances can be provided.

Disobeying an order

Any Deathguard who disobeys an order from an Instructor, an Executor or the High Delegate herself will be flogged, flayed and discharged from The Spine.

Ill-treatment or neglect of accoutrements

Any Deathguard who ill-treats his effects, issued arms, equipment or steed through wilful or non-wilful neglect will be flogged and flayed.

Fighting and brawling

Any Deathguard caught engaging in violent conflict – with or without arms – will be arrested and placed in immediate confinement. Punishment is to be meted out as deemed appropriate by the High Executor.

Disrespectful speech against the Dark Lady

Any Deathguard uttering contemptuous or disrespectful speech against Her Highness will suffer death by decapitation.

Mutiny

Any Deathguard who instigates, excites, causes, joins or fails to report any mutinous activity anywhere, will suffer death by decapitation.

Cowardice

Any Deathguard who, in the face of the enemy, runs away, or shamefully abandons his post or guard, or induces others to do the like, or casts away his arms, or attempts to take his own life shall be shot or beheaded on the spot by an Executor or the High Executor.

Compelling a surrender

Any Deathguard who tries to incite his comrades to give up to the enemy or abandon a post, unless ordered to do so by a superior, shall be shot or beheaded by an Executor or the High Executor.

Corresponding with or reliving the enemy

Any Deathguard who relieves the enemy with supplies or food, or harbours or protects an enemy agent, shall suffer death by decapitation.

Desertion

Any Deathguard who absents himself from his troop without leave from an Executor or the High Executor shall be hunted down without respite and executed in a manner deemed necessary.

Worshipping false idols

Any Deathguard found with idols of the Twilight’s Hammer, Burning Blade or any other cult opposed to the Forsaken will be flogged, flayed, mindscrubbed and dismantled for parts.

Treachery

Any Deathguard who cites his loyalty to any entity besides the Dark Lady, the Eternal Shadow or the Light; defaces a Forsaken monument; talks openly about forbidden subjects and generally behaves in a manner disrespectful to the Forsaken will have his extremities removed and be left to the mercy of the Royal Apothecary Society.

Be warned! Whatever you decide to do, you will not escape notice. The Dark Lady’s eyes are always upon us.
